Stakes go to the match’s escrow and stay there until the match is completed or cancelled. When the match ends, the system checks the PNL of both users on hyperliquid during the 1v1, and pays the winner the full pot from escrow, or refunds both players on a tie. If the creator cancels while the match is still waiting for an opponent, the creator’s stake is refunded from escrow.
